Woolmers Home Boarding Terms & Conditions
Vaccinations
As part of our license agreement, we are required to see a current vaccination record certificate, which must stay on our premises for the entirety of your dogs stay with us. This must show a booster vaccination having taken place within the last 12 months and must be signed off by a qualified veterinary surgeon. The certificate must show the booster having been administered as part of a course of vaccinations. Dog Vaccinations must safeguard against the following diseases: Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Leptospirosis. We strongly recommend vaccinating against Kennel Cough. **We require you to bring the vaccination record on each visit**
Notification of Medical Conditions
If your dog has a medical condition of any sort, we must be notified at the time of booking and again on their arrival day. If we have not been notified of such a condition or course of medication, we reserve the right to refuse admission. All dogs must be in good health.
Infectious Diseases
The Owner acknowledges that, whilst every reasonable precaution is taken to maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and biosecurity, dogs attending a boarding establishment may come into contact with infectious diseases or parasites.
We require all dogs to be vaccinated in accordance with our admission policy and operate cleaning, health monitoring and disease control procedures to minimise the risk of illness. However, no boarding environment can be guaranteed to be entirely free from the risk of infection.
By boarding their dog with us, the Owner accepts that, despite our reasonable precautions, their dog may contract an infectious disease or parasite, including but not limited to kennel cough, canine influenza, gastrointestinal infections, worms, fleas or ticks.
If a dog becomes unwell whilst boarding with us, we reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment where we consider it necessary for the dog’s welfare. The Owner agrees to be responsible for all veterinary fees and associated costs incurred on behalf of their dog.
Except where illness or injury results directly from our negligence or breach of our legal obligations, we shall not be liable for losses, costs or damages arising solely from a dog contracting an infectious disease or parasite during or after its stay.
If your dog falls ill or is injured in any way during their stay with us, it will be your sole responsibility as the dog’s owner to cover all veterinary bills.
If your dog requires any veterinary treatment, they will be taken to our vet (Watkins & Tasker), and any bills that are incurred will be passed to you when your dog is picked up after their stay. Please note that dogs can be unpredictable and very rarely a dog may get injured whilst in our care. We will do our absolute best to keep all dogs safe and healthy, but certain things are out of our control. If your dog is injured, we will contact you immediately; we may require your consent if any treatment is necessary.
Flea and Worming Treatments
All animals must be regularly treated with a veterinarian prescribed flea and worming treatment. If we suspect infection we reserve the right to refuse admission. If needed we will administer a treatment to protect other animals and you will be charged accordingly.
Diet
You are responsible for providing enough food for your dogs’ stay. Should your dog run out of the food you have provided before the conclusion of their holiday, they will be fed a high quality food of our choice and you will be charged £5 per day. If your dog is fed on raw food, please portion the meals out accordingly into separate containers. This helps us to stick to our good hygiene routines. If your dog can be a picky eater, especially when away from home, please bring some tinned meat or grated cheese etc so we can encourage them to eat when with us.
Bedding
We will provide all the necessary bedding for your dogs to stay with us.

Letting the dog off-lead in our paddock.
The Owner acknowledges that, where appropriate and in accordance with the information provided about their dog’s temperament, recall and behaviour, their dog may be exercised off-lead within our enclosed exercise paddock.
The paddock is enclosed by perimeter fencing and is inspected and maintained regularly. As the paddock is situated in a natural rural environment, areas of vegetation and hedgerow form part of the boundary and provide an additional natural barrier. However, local wildlife (including, but not limited to, badgers, foxes and rabbits) may occasionally create holes beneath or adjacent to the fencing. Despite our routine inspections and maintenance, such holes may develop between inspections and may not always be immediately visible due to the natural vegetation.
Whilst we take reasonable steps to inspect, maintain and repair the paddock, no outdoor exercise area can be guaranteed to be completely escape-proof at all times.
The Owner understands and accepts these inherent risks and gives permission for their dog to be exercised off-lead within the paddock.
Should a dog escape despite our having taken reasonable care to inspect and maintain the paddock, we will make every reasonable effort to recover the dog as quickly as possible and will notify the Owner without undue delay. Except where the escape results from our negligence or breach of our legal obligations, we shall not be liable for any loss, injury, costs or damages arising solely from such an escape.
If the Owner does not wish their dog to be exercised off-lead in the paddock, they must notify us in writing before the commencement of boarding. In such cases, the dog will not be able to be boarded with us.
Booking Dates
To avoid disappointment, please get your dog booked in for your desired dates ASAP. School holiday dates get booked up very quickly. Clients will be booked on a first come, first served basis. The most direct way to contact us, especially to book dates, is via our email address woolmersboarding@gmail.com where we will get back to you ASAP.
Deposit
A £50 deposit is required to secure your booking with us. If you want 3 bookings, this will be 3 separate £50 deposits. The deposit is non-transferable and non refundable. You cannot move the deposit from one booking to another.
What happens if our stay is cut short?
If your holiday is cut short for any reason and you would like to pick your dog up earlier than previously booked, you are more than welcome to arrange a pick up time with us. There is no refund for holidays cut short as we hold spaces for the duration of your dog’s stay. This means that we may have turned other clients away and so you will be required to pay the full amount that you booked.
The Ongoing Trial
Once your dog has passed their trial you will then be able to book dates with us. Each and every stay is an ongoing trial for your dog and we reserve the right to withdraw your dog’s place at any time. This is very uncommon but there are some things we don’t see on a short stay that we may on a longer one.
Please Note
Your dog can be left alone for a 3hr period in 24 hrs according to our License.
If your dog has not stayed with us for over 12 months they will need to redo their trial night before any bookings can be made.
